"No people will tamely surrender their Liberties, nor can any be easily subdued, when knowledge is diffused and Virtue is preserved. On the Contrary, when People are universally ignorant, and debauched in their Manners, they will sink under their own weight without the Aid of foreign Invaders." --Samuel Adams

The Jihadist Threat and Grassroots Defense
by Fred Burton and Scott Stewart
...As the shift toward grassroots operatives continues, information pertaining to preparatory crimes will become even more critical. Identifying this activity and flagging it for follow-on investigation could mean the difference between a thwarted and a successful attack. Why I Am Not a Liberal
by Dennis Prager
The following is a list of beliefs that I hold. Nearly every one of them was a liberal position until the late 1960s. Not one of them is now. Such a list is vitally important in order to clarify exactly what positions divide left from right, blue from red, liberal from conservative...

Hitler Invaded Sudetenland, Now Putin Invades South Ossetia
by Dick Morris and Eileen McGann
...If the United States appeases Russia now, it will pay the same price British Prime Minister Nevelle Chamberlain paid in the 1930s. This invasion must not be allowed to stand or, at the very least, it must be contained to South Ossetia and not allowed to lap over into the rest of Georgia.

And yet the children of capitalism still whine.

Townhall.com Weekend Journal
Salem Radio Network
When Senator Obama went overseas in an attempt to boost his presidential credentials, the media followed him around like love-sick teenage girls. And, much like those young females, they gushed about how good he looked, how smart he is, how well he spoke. He’s just…. Dreamy. Here on the ground, we saw a different Obama. Salem host Michael Medved takes a crack at his talk; Before the speech and after, one thing began to stick on Obama: His followers aren’t the only people who see him as larger than life. Obama appears to have the same view of himself. Morning in America’s Bill Bennett spoke with Weekly Standard founder and editor Bill Kristol; Salem host Dennis Prager discussed the media’s blind spot for Barack Obama; Bill Bennett spoke with Minnesota Senator Michele Bachman about drilling for oil in ANWR (Arctic National Wildlife Refuge); Salem’s Mike Gallagher discussed Obama’s comment regarding reparations to blacks.

What If Iraq Works?
by Victor Davis Hanson
There is a growing confidence among officers, diplomats and politicians that a constitutional Iraq is going to make it. We don't hear much anymore of trisecting the country, much less pulling all American troops out in defeat...
